Anti Barking
Do anti barking collars really work?
I am considering getting a beagle however, it will be left alone in an empty house most of the day until the kids come home from school. I believe beagles bark a lot and I may have to switch breeds if its barking cannot be controlled. I am hoping an anti barking collar will work. If so which types are best?
Dogs are sociable animals, better get two dogs. If u have to have only one, it will be terribly bored but will mostly sleep in .morning until lunchtime anyway. Must have safe chew toys to keep busy when active. All dogs bark – mine are a problem and started using a painless dog collar from Jet Care System – no shock but uses citronella spray. My 9 month old puppy hated it and stopped barking even when the collar was switched off but just around neck. However, he likes the sea (we lived in Cape Town, South Africa, and he went into the sea…. end of the collar. It definitely worked while we had it. We are now in Germany, were no dogs seem to bark ! and are considering getting another although they are very expensive. The spray is cold on neck and dogs do not like the spray. I have two dogs though and when the other barked close to collar the poor pup got sprayed !
why not get a dog from shelter – I have had 18 dogs in my life so far and all from shelter – precious wonderful dogs all of them.
