What to wear with a blue jean skirt?

It’s plain straight blue jean skirt, my mom just bought it for her but its too big for her. It goes down to my knees cause I’m really short, I’m also really skinny, and I like the skirt but I dunno what to wear with it. I’m a very casual person. Would a tshirt and converse shoes go with it? Or does that sound absolutely atrocious?

but me... i would wear a Long tank top with a baby tee over it.
and make sure they match though [ for example: if the tank is baby blue, the baby tee might be yellow with baby blue writing on it.]

& i would wear flats or flip flops with it but i have a more preppy style so if you like the grunge look a little more then go for the converse !
