Why does my white Japanese Spitz changes to brown fur?
I have a Japanese Spitz dog almost two years ago. He is white, with a thick coat, but I am finding that his coat is changing from white to brown. He is in good condition, and I bathe him every 2-3 days, but the brown coat under his elbow can not be removed. I have even though he may have mites, but I found nothing, and he wears a flea collar.
You are bathing him far too often. Dogs have more sensitive skin than we do and excessive dryness and irritation caused Baden. I think once a week or two is the recommended to get lot of baths every dog. The reason, he has brown hair under his elbow is probably because when he was in the position "below", are his elbow on the dirty floor. If you, he is also hair loss in this area, and it starts to turn rough skin to notice because of the (hard) ground he lays it up. It wears away the slow-growing hair in the area. Therefore, dog beds are recommended.
