What you should learn to train your dog first? The remote trainer or underground fence barrier?
We have an underground fence with a collar that can also used as a remote trainer. Should we start training the dog to the electric fence, barrier or by learning the remote trainer. (Will be mistaken for the dog, if we one to start before the other?)
Neither. The remote trainer is too easily abused and IMO should not even for the general public. They are only useful for the training of hunting dogs that work hundreds of meters away from their handlers, and then they are used sparingly. Electric collars can only give your dog a punishment. While he was being trained, he should at least get a punishment and a maximum of praise. The collar can not.
