Dark Green
Can anyone tell me what dark green spots on my fish are?
I’m having a bit of a nightmare; I have three goldfish- one has fin rot, one has ich, and my last one now appears to have two dark green spots about the size of it’s eye on it’s body. The green spots have a darker green bit in the centre which looks a bit like a parasite. I am currently only treating for fin rot which is working as obviously I cannot use 2 medicines at the same time. I am doing 25% water changes once a week, have a brilliant filter, and clean the gravel once a week. I’ve also added aquarium salt They are new and stressed I guess but it’s quite frustrating as I’m trying to do everything right and it’s all going wrong! Does anyone know what these green spots could be?
Those greenish spots could be necrotic (dying) tissue caused by the bacterial infection. Assuming that the fin rot medication is for gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, it should treat this also.
