Door Size
Is there a standard door size for an internal office door in America?
i need to know if the US has a standard size of door in an office.
80% of the doors I see on construction drawings are 3′ x 7′ or also known as 3o7o. Commercial doors tend to be taller than residential doors, and occasionally you’ll see 8′ or even 8′-6″ tall doors. And the 3′ width accomodates ADA (Handicap) access and for ease of moving furniture in and out of rooms.
Also of note: Commercial doors are almost always solid core for sound control and fire-ratings and whatnot. Never hollow-core.
